The Lakewood Suzuki Strings Scholarship Program depends on the kindness and generosity of community members like you. Your gift directly supports students, helping them access private lessons, group programs, and instruments.

    Make your check payable to         ‘Lakewood Board of Education’ with ‘Lakewood Suzuki Strings’ in the memo line.

  • Online Donations:
    Visit the Lakewood Recreation Department donation page and select         ‘Lakewood Recreation Scholarship Donations.’

Our Scholarship Programs

Private Lesson Scholarships

Partial scholarships for the monthly private lesson tuition are available for students enrolled in kindergarten through 8th grade in the Lakewood City Schools.

Group Program Scholarships

Suzuki Group Program partial and full scholarships cover costs for the Fall or Spring Suzuki Group Program activities - group classes, parent classes, performances, and more.

Rental Instruments

Rental violins are available for select Lakewood City Schools students. The annual rental fee for an LCS instrument is only $50 - a fraction of the cost to rent or buy a quality instrument elsewhere.
