Advanced Students

Is your child looking to improve their technique and playing ability? Are they looking for individualized support outside of their orchestra classroom? Are they interested in taking auditions for the area youth orchestra programs or a college music program?

Choose Lakewood Suzuki Strings to take your child’s skills to the next level.

Lakewood Suzuki Strings offers specialized instruction for advanced and pre-college young musicians on violin, viola, and cello. The LSS advanced program focuses on mastery and advanced skills, collaboration with peers, and igniting young musicians’ passion for music.

Advanced students of LSS faculty members are leaders in their school music programs, are active in local youth orchestras such as Contemporary Youth Orchestra (CYO) and Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra (NOYO), regularly audition and win spots in the Northeast Regional Orchestra (NERO) and all-state orchestra, and have successfully auditioned for high level college music programs such as Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Berklee College of Music, Boston University, and more.

Our team of experienced faculty members have all attended university or conservatory programs, and have played music professionally throughout their careers. In lessons, our faculty’s instruction is guided by their real-world experience to help bring your playing to the next level and achieve your goals.
