The Spring Suzuki Group Program registration will open in early January! Click HERE to register for spring group.
The first spring group day will be February 5th 2025.
All group classes occur on Wednesday evenings in the Lakewood High School's Performing Arts Wing.
Suzuki Group Program
LSS has five Suzuki program group classes:

Suzuki Violin Group: Wednesdays 5:30-6:15pm
-
Mozart Violin Group: Wednesdays 5:30-6:15pm
-
Suzuki Cello Group: Wednesdays 5:30-6:15pm
-
Bach Violin Group: Wednesdays 6:30-7:15pm
-
Telemann Viola Group: Wednesdays 6:30-7:15pm
Group placement is based on age and level. Talk to your private teacher about which group your child will attend!
Cost & Registration:
The Suzuki Program fee is $370 per semester. Once your child is ready to participate in group class, registration for the Suzuki Program is required for continued participation in LSS activities.
Registration is on the Lakewood Recreation Department website!
Limited Suzuki Program scholarships are available for Lakewood City Schools students. Applications are due August 15th and January 15th every year. Please check out our new scholarship page for more info HERE.
Parent Class
Parent Class occurs during once monthly during your child's group class, and is a great way to make connections with other Suzuki families enrolled in the LSS program! For each class be sure to bring your own copy of the book we are covering in class:
1) 5:30pm "Suzuki" and "Mozart" Classes: Beyond the Music Lesson: Habits of Successful Suzuki Families by Christine E. Goodner.
2) 6:30pm "Bach" and "Telemann" Classes: Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol Dweck

LSS students perform a solo with a pianist. Dress rehearsal with the pianist is during your child's group class the week prior. A reception of fun and food will follow!
